Why are clay masks so popular?
What is a clay mask and why should I use one?
Clay masks are truly made from natural clay, and they help to absorb sebum, which is the natural oil our skin produces. This helps prevent and calm pimples, blackheads and whiteheads. Other added ingredients add a moisturising element, such as aloe vera and lavender. I like to apply my mask and soak in the tub! Having a hot bath makes us perspire a little, which helps your skin release oil and dirt.
I usually make my pink clay mask using water, however if you have dry or normal skin mix the dry clay with water first, then add a little oil! This will give your skin a moisture boost!.
In my video below I demo how to make a moisture infused mask using our Illuminating Hydration Serum and Facial Mist. You can also customize your own mask!
Always begin with approximately 1 table spoon of Natural Pink Clay Mask and approximately one teaspoon of water and …
- half a teaspoon of coconut oil - great for very dry skin gentle melt if solid
- a teaspoon of MP organic gentle cleaning oil, organic facial oil or serum
- substitute the water with facial mist
- a dash of mineral foundation - great if you have pimples or redness!
